Eph 2:6 and did raise us up together, and did seat us together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 that He might show, in the ages that are coming, the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus,
8 for by grace ye are having been saved, through faith, and this not of you—of God the gift,
9 not of works, that no one may boast;
10 for of Him we are workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God did before prepare, that in them we may walk.
Eph 2:6-10 are an amazing set of scriptures . I think that we have not had the full revelation of what Paul; was has been trying to tell us.
V6 We have been raised up with Christ when He was raised up. That is a given. All that has happened to Christ has happened to us. This is what separates the Christian for everybody else on the planet
Our current position now, and here on earth, is one of sitting on the very throne which Christ sits in.
If we have the revelation that we sit on the very throne which Christ's is sitting on, then we operate in exactly the same authority and power which He reigns with...right now!
The fullness of this can only be realized, however, when we live existentially or experientially in places which are found in the realms of God's kingdom. As Christians we will sadly spend most of our earthly lives living by the realities of earthly places and earthly things. We must press in by faith to become transcendental people with transcendental thinking that can enter into the transcendental places of God's kingdom and access His invisible and transcendental things. This is the definition of a renewed minds. We must ask God to transom us until it becomes the norm to live out heavenly places and access heavenly things and unnatural and uncomfortable to live out of earthly places.
Its obvious that the more that our experiences are within places which comprise the kingdom of heaven, the more that we will be our experience to access the hours, times and seasons of that kingdom which God continually desires to reveals to us.
God's heart is always one of kindness. The riches which God reveals to us in heavenly places are designated to fulfill specific functions of his kindness. Every object which God has placed in His kingdom and which He reveals to us is used by Him to demonstrate His kindness to us and more so His kindness THROUGH us to hurting and lost humanity.
I suspect that what Paul was intending to say in verses 9 and 10 is different to what we thought he meant.
Everything from verse 6-10 is connected. Paul always connected his thoughts in his writings.
Yes, the transcendental riches of His grace made up as functions of His kindness have saved us..but I also see him saying so much more than that.
The transcendental riches of His grace, all which demonstrate different aspects of God's incredible kindness to humanity, have been all poured or funneled into the believer. This pouring into us of all of God's incredible riches of kindness have created, molded, and completed the believer into something that God had in mind.
Think of molten, fiery, red hot steel, being poured into a metal cast iron mold, and creating an object once it cools down. Lets take for example, the frame of a car.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
This is exactly what Paul is saying in Eph 2:10.
The word “workmanship” is the Greek word “poiema.” This rare word, a noun, only appears twice in the NT.
As the fiery hot molten steel poured into a metal cast mold produced the frame of a car, all of the transcendental riches of God's kindness, power, and glory have BEEN POURED into the believer. The believer now is the workmanship, masterpiece, God's crowned achievement, the trophy, the completed product of all of God's blessings to humanity. You see, we must learn to minister to people as THE COMPLETED masterpiece of God's power, Gods healing, Gods finances, God's riches to humanity. We simply exhibit, demonstrate and release by faith.
This is why its not out works. It is an undeserved gift of God. We learn to minister boldly, confidently and with total authority realizing that all of the completed masterpieces, centerpieces and achievements of God's power, healing and riches for mankind lie deposited us finished and perfected. The more faith and the more revelation that we have, the greater will be the release of what is already in us.
You think about that today!
