Where Christ Is

Col 3:1  If, then, ye were raised with the Christ, the things above seek ye, WHERE THE CHRIST IS, on the right hand of God seated,

AW Robertson, the great Greek scholar calls this, “the condition of the first class;” or as something that is assumed as being true. Paul, as he wrote this assumes that you and I are endeavoring to live WHERE THE CHRIST IS. In other words, our reality must be that we have risen with Christ from the dead. Since Christ lives up in heaven, we must live where He lives.

Joh 14:3 And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will return and take you to be with me, that where I am you also may be.

Ph3: 20 (AV) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

The kingdom of heaven is a future paradigm as well as it is a present one. Though physically we live on the earth our life is up in heaven. We are transformed by what is called the “reckoning of faith.”

Rom 4:9 ¶ Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

Reckoning simply means that what we believe about the Word and receive it, which in the Greek means to make it into our own and to walk in it, it then manifests physically through our lives. The whole Christian life is one of believing first spiritually the position that we have in Christ. What we have believed then becomes physically manifested in this world. This is because faith is a law.

Rom 3:27 Where then is the boasting? it was excluded; by what law? of works? no, but by a law of faith:

We must reckon from the things which are in heaven and not on earth, WHERE THE CHRIST IS.

Ph3: 20 (AV) For our conversation IS in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

“IS in heaven” Paul does not use the simple word for “IS” in this scripture but uses the word “Huparcho”, which speaks about belongings and possessions. Simply speaking, our reality, our mode of being and thus our behaving and all of our possessions are found WHERE THE CHRIST IS.

Phil 3:21 who shall transform the body of our humiliation to its becoming conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working of his power, even to subject to himself the all things.

The Greek says' Who will change the schematics of the body of our humiliation so that it can adopt the same form of the body of His glory. Whereas form has to do with inward change, schematic is more so seen in the outward physical changes, tangible to the 5 senses. In the ploys of the enemy we see many outward and visible transformations, to the physical senses of people. This is why the world gets so easily deceived by what devil brings through our physical senses.

2Co 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves (SCHEMATIC) into the apostles of Christ.

2Co 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed (SCHEMATIC) into an angel of light.

2Co 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed (SCHEMATIC) as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Php 3:21 Who shall change (SCHEMATIC) our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body ( THE BODY OF HIS GLORY), according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Rom 12:2 And be not conformed (SCHEMATIC) to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

It is amazing then that Paul in Philippians 3:21 can that that the more that we live out of our heavenly possessions, even the schematic of our physical bodies can begin to experience transformational change son this side of heaven through miraculous healing and so forth.

”According to the working of his power”; Literally :According to the energy of His being able. As I taught yesterday, dunamis power is power in ability or success. The energy inside Christ makes all things able. The more that we live WHERE THE CHRIST IS the more that we will see all things being made able.

Rom 12:2 And be not conformed (SCHEMATIC) to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We see the same word for schematic also in Romans 12:2
Literally:
Do not assume the schematic of this present age dispensation but be metamorphosized by the renewing of your minds....then you will be able to know the good and acceptable and mature will of God.

When we are reckoning every possession, every behavior and even every thought from the place WHERE THE CHRIST IS, Christ truly puts off our old man. The schematic of our whole life and even our body progressively changes.

2 Cor 3L18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed ( METAMORPHOSIS) into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The open face is in one which has nothing to hide. It talks about total obedience and total openness to the Lord. The perfect tense of this grammatical structure describes a permanent state. Paul assumes that as believers we live in a continual state of obedience and openness to our Lord.

“Beholding as in a glass” Literally means “down looking” This is a word for a mirror. The more intently that we gaze at our appearance in a mirror, the more that we will see and depict and analyze our own reflection.

The more that we dwell in the place WHERE THE CHRIST IS the more we will be down looking ( intently focusing) at the place where His transcendental glory dwells , the more that we will be able to capture the reflection of His glory and the more that we will be metamorphosied into the BODY OF HIS GLORY.

These things can more definitely commence to happen now, here on earth.

Everything has to do with intensity of our focus to live in the place WHERE THE CHRIST IS.
